A War Memorial
Tragedy becomes a part of life when wars take place and what is left of them is fear, anxiety and a deep sense of loneliness that follows one all the way to the end. What we remember from a war is a bubble we were so defenselessly trapped in;blood and those whom we have lost.
This war memorial design is to portrait a sense of loneliness that we experience during a war; the open arches which are covered in clear glass give us a partial sense of freedom where the glass prevents us from feeling the exterior environment.
The symbolic pool of blood located in middle of the structure adds color to this symbolic building. The symbolic red-pool and its reflection also results in the exterior glass covering to appear pink.
